How to Install a Kitchen Sink

Make sure you check all parts and follow the included installation instructions.
Recommended Tools & Supplies:
· Silicone sealant and caulk gun
· Mineral spirits and a clean, lint-free cloth
· Flat head screwdriver

Step 1: Start with a clean countertop, clear of obstructions above & below. American Standard recommends a professional countertop installer to cut the sink opening.

Step 2: Check the fit. The sink must sit properly, and be supported on all four corners.

Step 3: Assemble the screws and clamps. Slide the clamp assembli8es into the U channels, evenly spaced. Turn the clamps in the same direction as the U channel. Hand tighten the screws – do not over tighten!

Step 4: Apply a generous amount of sealant.

Step 5: Carefully lower the sink onto the sealant. Apply firm, even pressure.

Step 6: Loosen each screw. Turn the clamps 90 degrees to catch the countertop bottom. Hand tighten the screws. Do not over tighten!

Step 7: Recheck the sink position.

Step 8: Tighten all screws an additional ¼ turn with the screwdriver.
WARNING: Over tightening could result in improper installation or damage to sink.

Step 9: Wipe away excess sealant.

Step 10: Connect the faucet and drain assembly and you’re all set!

Note: Some of the American Standard sinks can be installed under the counter. We recommend professional installation for under counter mounting.
