Shopping List for How to Replace an Old Faucet:
– kitchen faucet
– shut-off valves with compression fittings
– rigid lav supply, used to supply hot- and cold-water to faucet
– plumber’s putty, used to seal faucet’s mounting flange Bucket, used to catch water
– emery cloth, used to clean old pipe prior to installing the new valves

Tools for How to Replace an Old Faucet:
– close-quarter hacksaw, used to cut old water-supply lines
– basin wrench, used to loosen nuts holding faucet in place
– two open-end wrenches, for loosening and tightening nuts
– propane torch, used to remove old sweated shut-off valves
– bending spring, used to bend rigid lav supply
– screwdriver, for installing weight to spray hose
– pliers, used to remove the old valves after melting the solder with a torch
