Worst to First: How to Remove a Faucet

HOW TO REMOVE A FAUCET

DISCLAIMER: Always defer to manufacturer instructions and the advice of a plumber when removing and/or installing a faucet.

TOOLS:
· Flashlight
· Screwdriver
· Combination wrench
· 5/8” wrench
· Teflon tape
· Gloves
· Safety goggles
· Bucket and rag

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Make sure the new faucet fits in the current setup.
2. Shut off the water using the valve below the sink.
3. Turn on the faucet to make sure the water is off and drain excess water.
4. Place a bucket under the water lines to catch any residual water.
5. Disconnect the water line, using wrenches to unscrew the bolts.
6. Detach the old faucet’s hardware from the sink.
7. Remove the faucet from the sink.
8. Clean grime and debris from the faucet hole.
9. Add provided hardware to the threaded portion of the faucet and feed it through the hole. (Our faucet comes with an O-Ring, which prevents water from leaking below.)
